fading

ive noticed when i give a tattoo it looks real solid and the lines are even, but after they heal they get really blotchy and faded. am i not goiong deep enough or what is going on?

you could be not going deep enough or going too deep depending on the the way your machine is set up. if it blows out past the lines chances are your machine is hitting too hard. if the lines look solid and heal spotted then its probably not hitting hard enough or running too slow.
