Power supply question

I am just tuning my machines and plugged it into this new power source... it has a digital display but I don't think it's in volts ?
at 0.3 reading on display I'm even afraid to turn it up more for fear of breaking the machine because its crazy fast at that level.
Does anyone know what this display is showing?? and since it obviously isn't showing volts... how do I tell how many volts its currently set to ?
also, at maximum setting it says 1.2 when the dial is turned all the way (I did not run the machine at this)
Any help ?
