Should I.....

Hey guys I was wondering if it is okay to call the shop first and ask them if i can come in and talk to the owner about possibly apprenticing. Instead of just showing up because some times that I have been in a shop everyone is busy tattooing. So they might be annoyed that i intrude while they are working to ask about apprenticing and not about getting a tattoo. thoughts suggestions?

It might be a good idea, setup an appointment.
Best practice is to just make an appointment to get a tattoo at the shop you want a job at!
Then you can talk to the artists and feel the vibe.
You don't want to apprentice at a shit hole - or a place where the artists are too far up their own asses to help you.
