“Amp or ampere is a unit of electrical current that measures
the amount of electrical charge per second that exists.”
Amps are important in relation to the tattoo process because the
tattoo power supply will have a set number of amps that it pushes
through the tattoo machine’s coils. Too little amps will not run
the tattoo machine efficiently, while too many amps may cause
the machine to overheat and over work.
