The Teach Me To Tattoo Forum is a FREE online community where you can ask questions about tattooing. You will find professionals as well as novice tattoo artists on this site. You will also find some individuals who want to learn more about tattooing because they are interested in perusing a career in the tattoo industry. The forum is open to anyone and anyone can ask anything. The overall tone of the forum is a positive and helpful one. You will see a lot of tattoo forums online that are very strict and the professionals will often have some very negative and harsh criticism. This is very off-putting for the newcomers and actually gives the tattoo industry a very uneducated and negative personality on the internet as well as off the internet. TMTT Forum has the goal of sharing tattoo knowledge in hopes of getting a lot of the basic technical fundamentals to become a common discussion. Once these basic techniques and methods are known, the artists will be able to focus more on the artistic aspect of tattooing, and not so much on the technical aspect. This will grow a more professional generation of tattoo artists and be beneficial to everyone. Clients will receive higher quality tattoos, while artists can fall back on the standardized technical methodology that is the basis for a proper apprenticeship foundation. The forum is not to be confused as a substitution for a proper apprenticeship.

| The Teach Me To Tattoo Wiki (online Encyclopedia) is a free online lexicon of terminology and related materials. This online database is modified by the general public. This means that there is no such thing as "the right word" or "the right way". Tattoo is an art form, and the techniques used in modern western tattoo have been passed down for generations (mostly though verbal tradition), and there are many variations of terminology. You will see much variation within the United States, and when you compare the USA to European terminology you see an even vaster array of descriptive narratives that define the tattoo industry and its tools. |

TMTT Wiki is designed to get everyone "on the same page" so to speak. This database also serves to help new tattoo artists expand their tattoo knowledge that they hold inside their own brain. The goal of this website is to develop an extensive and clear set of definitions and descriptions that are generally agreed upon by the tattoo industry and its professional members. This website is open to debate and we welcome input as well as contribution. Just click on the Wiki link, then register for the Wiki and you can begin your contributions. This section of our website is very controversial, just like the Textbooks that we produce -we have received a lot of positive and a lot of negative feedback. We would like to let the tattoo community know that we are serious about the sharing of this information and we hope that our commitment in the form of time and money is appreciated; if not appreciated we hope it is at a minimum given some respect. We hope to keep the Wiki website positive and on track.
