Hi I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m having real trouble finding an apprenticeship. I’m 38 years old is this to old for apprenticeship

    • Nicholas, welcome to the tattoo forum.
I hope you have better luck w/ an apprenticeship.
I know tons of folks who started after they were in their 30’s
One of the best tattoo artists in the industry got a late start actually – It really isn’t about your age, but your initial artist ability (in my opinion). It is just like tattooing itself, there are tons of preferences. I would say as an older apprentice you would be more mature and focused, and you would have a better ability to deal with customers and tattoo clients. You would also have better ability to price the work out and anticipate things that someone who is younger may not have the life experience to deal with. Hang in there and keep drawing / painting.
      Best of luck to you!
