What should be the proper steps to clean the machine? not the tubes and grips, i mean the frame and post, etc. and should this be done every time as well? I do use bags, but was just woundering about that.

If you use bags, a good wipe-down with alcohol should suffice. If by chance you do not bag it; you should autoclave it, however this is not generally recommended because it can damage the machine, but most people dont autoclave it anyway. It is a good precaution though. Just keep using those bags and wipe with alcohol when finished.

      Bag your machine –
You can use madicide / cavicide / anti-viral / fungal wipes / germicidal wipes –
Just watch out you will see rust and corrosion on the plastic parts…
      Bag and alcohol is best…

The only way to clean a tattoo machine is in an autoclave which cleans with high heat, high pressure steam. It is the same equipment hospitals and dentists use.
