First im going to say I am not that great with electronics. I have decided to make a few clip cords but not sure what gauge to get. The standard is 16 on all that I have found the problem with that is I have ran over a few and they break to easy. How much thicker could I go before I start loosing power or before it starts changing my power? I have bought a Al Brodeur but man thing is bulky as hell…plus I want to try mono but not sure if going thicker on gauge will help or hinder.

I have no experience with making a clip cord :

But the wires on my clip cord look a lot the wires going from my amp to my subwoofers in my truck so I would use those. Its made to be flexible, I’ve never had any problem with it breaking. You should probably stick with the standard 16 gauge as well
