Cover ups

I have my first cover ups coming later this week, although one piece too cover is black and greys, the intended piece too cover it up with has large areas of white, I have heard that tattooing over it in yellow first will later give you a foundation to lay white down on top of..can anyone give me some suggestions to avoid the behind greys coming through? Covering up dark tattoo with light tattoo, can be done – but will require multiple sessions typically. Also depends on how dark and how old the original tattoo is. I recommend laser tattoo removal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0823fU-srpM

As a tattoo artist you should let the customer know to have low expectations, especially if this is your first cover up.

According to me, cover up is one of the best method that used for covering unwanted tattoo or tattoo removal. Most of tattoo designers suggests cover up option to their customer who wants to remove unwanted tattoo and got a new one over there.

I’m not sure about the whole white idea, but I do know that when I do a cover up I try to make the new piece a bit larger, and VERY busy. the more detail, and lines the better. This will draw the eye AWAY from the original piece. Even if the original piece isnt 100% hidden the eye is pulled away from the old piece to the new piece with how busy it is. Stream a few episodes of Tattoo Nightmares for some ideas. It’s a tattoo show with no drama and its all about cover ups.
