      This is the second tattoo I’ve done. Please comment and leave advice on what I did and didn’t do right. Thank you.

      Its a bit hard to see.

      It looks good though.

      But for more advice, post a bigger photo. ;)

      It is very hard to see but from what I do see, I would say get off faces for some time and work on some stuff. The placement with the body style you choose is not going to look good later on. a better placement would have been higher on the ribs where a person is less likely to gain some pounds and make the body of the chick spread. Her face is just wrong, pointed nose, top lip is way too big and the shading is just out of place. A good tattoo has a kind of flow, why placement is so important and why we as tattoo artists have to explain to our customers why a certain tattoo just won’t look good in certain areas. Of course if you are just in it for the money then take it and run. Get some practice on paper, even digital, then later on call this guy back and offer him some new work gratis to reapir this and make it something to be proud of for you and him.
