This is my second tattoo.. had my brother for a test subject, he loves it, looks to me like my shading is “sketchy” looking though. Any ideas as to why? Did I run the needle too fast, or use too small a needle? Please help me with this so I know, I used a 5rl for the lining and a 7rs for shading, wondering if I used a mag if it would have blended a little better. Let me know please, thankshttp://m.facebook.com/?_rdr#!/photo.php?fbid=104175483049716&id=100003717938907&set=a.103698939764037.4718.100003717938907&refid=0

this design requires extensive knowledge of proportion and shading in order to look right.
not a good choice for your 2nd tattoo.
you would serve yourself well if you focused on only doing smaller, simpler designs when you are first learning. choose your subject matter wisely, and slowly expand in difficulty as you improve.
