      ok, I am getting ready to do a hannya mask on myself, and the only thing i’m not sure on is how to do the hair so it looks like hair. Does anybody have any tips or techniques on how to do the hair?

      use a soft SOFT grey, and line some of the strands gently with your liner to get some ghost lines

      then take a nice M1 (7M1 might work unless its a MASSIVE piece)

      then you want to sort of “Draw” it in with your mag
      dont brush it on like you would with shading use your mag vertically not horizontally

      also do “Vs” in junctions and such

      i would actually line the hair with greywash usually all the strands then use a mag needle depending on tatttoo size to define the hair. more of a traditional way.. usually on portraits i just use a magnum needle on everything.
