Hey there from Canada! Im currently not really apprenticing “in shop” but have a long time tattoo artist friend in a reputable shop who has been sort of mentoring me. I’ve tried so many times over the past 10 years to gain an apprenticeship opportunity (apparently not hard enough..ha) and even though I have many tattoo artist friends, it still takes the right stuff at the right time to seemingly get there. I now own equipment and as I said have a friend who’s been somewhat mentoring me. I’ve maybe done 10 tattoos to date, though know I have what it takes. I have faith in my skill, as I have a long history in the arts world both professional and otherwise and am keen to learn as much as possible any way I can. The goal is to eventually be able to tattoo like I draw…I know its possible! ;) I still need to add a whole whack of stuff to my website, but it gives a general idea of what I’ve been doin. Hoping to use this site as an extra support in my foray into tattoo life!
