I am also fairly new but I am pretty positive that most coils are sold buy their height ex. 1’inch coil and within these measurements 1′ or 1.5′ each could have a variety amount of coil wraps 8 10 or 12. In regards to coil verse rotary. Coils are louder and with an electro/magnetic force to move the A-bar/needle. Rotary is only electric and uses a spinning component to move the needle.
