call me crazy but if i had an apprenticeship, my mentor would have to kick me out of the shop for being there all the damn time.

i just want the forums to start picking up traffic, good posters with good intentions. its good to show your work because others notice something that you might have missed or overlooked. I also think a good idea would be to have little draw off’s where we pick something to draw and everyone can do there own version of it, it really helps and lets you know what approach others are taking.

the shading on the bottom sail makes the sail look rounded which is good, but the others dont have it. the front of the ship where the point sticks out looks weird to me like its not colored in or just not finished. it looks ok, if it makes you feel better ive done worse lol.

great value i really like it. i cant tell if its the stencil or an outline on top of the head but i hear all the time to just shade it out and not make a hard edge. shading under the left eye into the cheek is alot more smoother then under the right eye. when it heals and lightens up you should post another pic i wanna see it, great job :)

good concept, ive seen plenty of torn skin tats. i would look at a couple of them to reference from. i think theres to much pink and not enough dark reds.

yea i posted this almost a year ago lol, now that i look back on it looks horrible. it was done in charcoal but i now use oil paints to help with color choices and blending. might actually redo another monroe portrait in color this time.

hey man thanks for joining i actually have a question about my .38 caliber shader. the space between my armeture bar and contact screw is a hair more then nickle width and its running at 8.9 to 9.0 with the needle. is this to to much power? what do you recommend or has best worked for you?
