haven’t swapped any springs out. i don’t know the thickness of the springs in the kit that it came with. i have some extra BSI springs in my box i’m going to mess around with it some more later today. i took the o-ring off of it and that slowed it down. it’s a nice set up. just want it slower.

well, it’s got a pretty wide point gap about 1/4″, it runs around 100 at 8.5. still pretty fast. if i bump the power down it doesn’t hit hard enough. i thought about making my own. i have the connections for the tools and the material just don’t seem to have the time right now. i’ll find it though. thanks for the help.

The Carl Grace DVD’s. You can get them at Bicknee tattoo supply. They are a litte pricy, but well worth it.

i run through this area about twice a week to check out other artists work, and to pretty much waste time on watch, or at work in general. (i don’t mind going to work, it’s the 8 to 10 hours that i have to wait to go home that i hate!) and this one is by far my fav. i love this piece. can’t wait to see it on living canvas. keep it up!

I was thinking more along the lines of Cadillac parts in a Kia. The Machines that I’ve seen that I think look good aesthetically are the cheaper machines. I guess the real question would be; do all armatures, springs, and coils for coil machines fit about any frame? I don’t want to go down this path and find out that I’ve wasted time, effort and not to mention money on something that I can just get an answer for. Lessons learned from others you know.

Side bar, has any one used a reverse machine? I just saw a photo one from a British machine company. Looks pretty bad ass.
