You might wanna start with a lighter machine, just makes it easier for you to put it down steady.

What kind of springs are you using?. I had to change my springs on my Paco Rollins. I find the Eikon springs to work the best for me. Im gonna go ahead and assume you got a half decent machine?. Those two should play a big role in how well your work gets put down. Your current is about right for a liner.

Unfortunately there really is no way around it. The only thing I would recommend is that you make the outline thicker, and direct yourself more towards a not so detailed piece.

Skin Candy is good, thats what Mike devries uses, and his work speaks for itself. I myself are experimenting with Allaprima, possibly the best ink out there on the market (many would say).

yeah I would of used at least a 5 round. Its doesnt look bad though, and dont worry about it being straight because these type of pieces are not of straight fine line cause they have that rocky look…Im a big fan of black and white, I would have just shaded everything in with a grey wash, but color is getting alot more popular..def post a pic of it when its completed…By the way, what mag are you gonna use for color packer?

I picked up a brass shader and liner from Paco Rollins for a fair price. Thats what my mentor recommended when I told him i was on a tight budget. These machines are quality, and overall workers!!I had to adjust a bit but that was for my preference..They are a bit heavy about 8.7 oz but thats not a problem for me, I find it beneficial starting with a heavier machine. IMO.
