• Are you using grey wash? Diluting your black? I use a very fast running shader for black and grey work, this allows me to shade light areas without hammering in the color. Pay attention to light sources so that you can leave areas for skin tone, or white highlights. I was looking at ur bondage chick piece and it looks like you just randomly chose…[Read more]

  • Your work looks pretty solid. Not much color. Honestly a lot of your work seems to lack depth in areas. A lot of solid black. But I’m assuming those are fresh so they may have lightened up in spots, plus I’m looking at them on my phone. What’s up with the paper plates? Haha I mean I guess there is nothing wrong with that and kudos for the extra…[Read more]

  • Actually I didn’t have to read very far into your statement to see your erranious analogy. But I’m for sure not about to have this arguement. In fact there is no arguement… If you and all ur scratcher friends want to call machines “guns” or “cannons” or “rocket launchers” or “lawn mowers” whatever… Its all good with me. Most of my clients call…[Read more]

  • You just completely contradicted yourself. Basically you are saying a garbage man should not be referred to as anything other than a garbage man, because afterall that is what he is supposed to be referred to as. But that you can call a tattoo machine whatever you want, as long as you know how to use it. What about if a garbage man is really good…[Read more]

  • It took you 17 years and over 1000 tape player tattoos to decide you want to get peofessional about tattooing? Holy shit… Were you using the same machine the whole time?

  • Oh and that hula chick looks super buff… Fukkin scary buff like that guitar thing weighs a lot and she’s been reppin it.. I know what its called I just don’t know how to spell it hahaha

  • Your work looks good. Better than most people on here. I agree with the lining but its only in some spots so I’m assuming ur having trouble pulling/pushins lines in a certain position. Sometimes when a line looks tricky or you have to get in a funky position you end up pushing or pulling with your elbow, or atleast I’ve had that problem. Some of…[Read more]

That’s fuckin sick mane. I like ur style. Ur missing some piston ring grooves if you want crtique.. Oh ya and the connecting rod cap must be magicly attached to the connecting rod since there are no bolts or holes for them… It also might be a real pain in the ass to remove the wrist pin since the snap ring doesn’t have holes for snap ring…[Read more]

  • Like talens drawing ink? I’ve never used it but you can get it a lot of places. Unimax supply, technical supply both sell it. Can’t go wrong with dynamic or silverback black though… Love that shit

  • Right. But like mahone-ski said… Going too deep is a done deal, especially if you go to deep over a large area. Not going deep enough can be fixed. If you are unsure about how to tattoo, then don’t. Its that simple. Practice on yourself and on practice skin. And try to get an apprenticeship, or some type of legitimate mentor. Not trying to be a…[Read more]

  • Yes it can vary greatly. A nickel is just under 2mm thick, so error on the shallow side is possible on certain body parts, like the back for example. The dermis layer of skin on most peoples back begins at 3.0mm. Error on the deep side is also possible like on the foot which typically begins at about 1.5mm.

  • For most parts of the body its 3-4 mm. Most new artists set their needle/tube up so the needle sticks out of the tube a nickels width with the armature bar pressed down, and work off the tube tip.

  • Hey not knocking ur work, but that chest piece looks funny because of how uneven it is. Its way larger on one side.

  • Hahaha I have never heard of a chick tattooing herself… Not trying to knock anyone that has or is self-teaching themselves to tattoo, but getting an apprenticeship at a shop is the way to go. Being a female only likens your chances of getting one. I mean who doesn’t want to play grab ass with the person that is scrubbing your tubes??? Not only…[Read more]

That looks real good mane. It think it goes something like this though “love it… Or enter it illegally and try to change the national language”

  • You shouldn’t tattoo over any type of skin abnormality. Unless you are a part time tattoo artist/full time doctor, or some combination of the two. If those “bubbles” are the result of an infection, not only could you spread it all over your clients body, but also all over yours, and anyone else you tattoo or come in contact with.

  • You should be buying and using grey wash in premade sets. Grey wash always goes in darker than the way it heals, so going from light to dark can get tricky since the areas that you want black may not heal that way since you have already gone over every area with a light wash, then maybe a little more, then medium, and then wait… Everything looks…[Read more]

  • I think you might need an E-book on grammer.

Sex education and veganism.. That’s what I’m talkin bout. I like ur drawing. I have a vegan friend… Asked me to draw something for her one time and the only thing I could think about was macho man randy savage tearing chickens apart… Bare handed. With his multi colored sun glasses. Goin “OOHHH YEEAHHH”

  • Machine tuning, application techinique, needle depth, needle not in the tube right. It could be a lot of things. Have you practiced on any fruit or anything other than a person? You should have all of the intangiables taken care of before you tattoo someone… There are quite a few videos on youtube, and different supply companies, as well as a…[Read more]
